We’re pleased to announce details of Tankersley Community ‘Outdoor Cinema on the Green’ planned for Saturday 15th July 2023.
We have taken on board comments, suggestions and preferences from you the public, and the film company and agreed the films to be MATILDA (for the youngsters) and DIRTY DANCING (for the not so youngsters!!)
The event is very expensive to run – not only do we have to hire the screen and sound system but we also have to pay 40% of ticket sales in royalties.
Nevertheless, we have managed to secure support from a local company and Tankersley Community Association has agreed to guarantee outstanding expenditure.
We have tried to keep costs to a minimum – so please, please support us!
Admission will be by pre-purchased wrist bands in accordance with the pricing structure outlined on the poster. No booking fee..!!!
Numbers will be restricted to ensure your comfort and for health and safety reasons – so book early!
This obviously is an outdoor event and will go ahead regardless of the weather conditions (within reason) More details will be published nearer the time.
Licensed bar and refreshments will be available throughout the day.
