Services – There will be a Service at Tankersley St. Peter’s Church this Sunday at 09.30.  No Service at St. Paul’s, Pilley this week.  There will be a service at Pilley Methodist Church at 3.00 pm led by Rev. Louise Carr.

Age UK – Healthy Living – continues on Wednesdays at 1000 hours in The Hub.

Tankersley Community Association – The afternoon teas continue at 1300 hours on Tuesdays.

There will be a Whist Drive at 1330 in the Senior Citizens Room at the Hub on Thursday 26th October.  Everyone welcome – no experience necessary!

Northern Soul and Motown Disco Night is arranged for Saturday 25th November – tickets now available from any TCA member or from John on 07980200365.

Coffee with a Councillor – The opportunity to meet with Councillor Alex Burnett was well received with several residents attending and raising important local issues.  It is hoped to repeat the event again in the future.

The Halloween Party for children and families arranged for Sunday 29th October is now sold out.

The Annual Bonfire and Firework Display have been confirmed for Saturday 4th November.  Volunteers are invited for wood collection and bonfire building.  More details will follow. Licensed bar and hot refreshments will be available in The Hub from 5.00 pm.

TPEG – volunteers this week planted almost 500 wildflower plugs on the Lidgett Lane Recreation Ground.  A litter pick is organised for 1st November – meet at the top of Tankersley Industrial Estate at 10.00.  Equipment will be provided.

Tankersley Senior Citizens Group – invite new members.  Activities include a variety of social events and excursions.  Anyone interested should contact Brian Marsden on 01226 746306 or 07947430259

The Hub Tuck Shop is now closed for the winter season but will be opened on special occasions if weather permits.
