Services – There will be a service at Tankersley St. Peter’s Church this Sunday at 0930.  No service at St. Paul’s, Pilley this week.

Age UK – Healthy Living sessions for the over 50’s are held between 1000 and 1200 hours on Wednesday mornings in The Welfare Hall of The Hub.  Activities include armchair exercise and healthy eating. Contact Karen Dennis on 01226 776820 for more details.

Tankersley Community Association – the coffee afternoon continues at 1300 hours on Tuesdays.  Everyone welcome for refreshments, bingo and a chat.  TCA would like to invite anyone interested in becoming involved with the running of the organisation to contact the Secretary on 07989484050.

The Annual General Meeting was held on Tuesday 27th June and all officials were re-elected for a further year.

‘Coffee with a Councillor’ – The newly elected Councillor Alex Burnett will be available to meet residents between 1000 and 1200 hours on Saturday 15th July in the Conservatory at The Hub.  Everyone is invited to come along to have a free coffee and discuss any issues of concern.

Whist Drive – The next whist drive will be held on Thursday 20th July at 1330.

Tankersley Senior Citizens Group – invite new members.  Activities include a variety of social events and excursions.  Anyone interested should contact Brian Marsden on 01226 746306 or 07947430259

The Hub Tuck Shop will be open on 1300 and 1600 hours on weekends and at selected times during the school holidays – weather permitting.  Tea, coffee, soft drinks, ice creams and confectionary all available whilst visiting Pilley Pocket Park.

Tankersley Community Green – An outdoor ‘Cinema on the Green’ event in has now been confirmed for Saturday 15th July and will show ‘Matilda – The Musical’ in the afternoon and ‘Dirty Dancing’ in the evening.  More details available at www.tankersleyhub.com . A telephone hotline has been set-up to obtain wrist bands – contact 07857802670. Admission is free by pre-obtained wrist band which can be collected from the Hub Tuck Shop between 1300 and 1500 on Saturday and Sunday.  The former bowling green is now being managed by Tankersley Community Association and is available to hire for outdoor events.  Details are available from the Secretary.
