Services – There will be a Service at Tankersley St. Peter’s Church this Sunday at 09.30 and a Service at St. Paul’s, Pilley at 16.00 hours.

St. Peter’s Church will be holding a coffee morning at The Hub on Saturday 2nd September between 1000 and 12 noon.  Cake stall, refreshments and raffle. Everyone welcome.

The Harvest Ploughman’s Tea and Social will be held on Friday 15th September in The Hub.  Platters will be served between 4.00 and 6.30 pm followed by live entertainment at 7.00 pm.  Licensed bar available throughout.  Tickets are available from Joy on 01226 745522 or Judith on 01226 744520.

Age UK – Healthy Living – continues on Wednesdays at 1000 hours in The Hub.

Tankersley Community Association – The afternoon teas continue at 1300 hours on Tuesdays.

A Halloween Party for children and families has been arranged for Sunday 29th October and tickets priced at £2 for adults and £3 for children are now available by phoning Dave on 07970818575. The event will feature a children’s entertainer, games, prizes and refreshments and will be held between 2.00 and 4.00 pm.  Residents are invited to get involved and help organise the event by contacting Emma on 07479802726 or any TCA member.

Tankersley Parish Council – the next meeting will be held on Monday 18th September.

The Annual Bonfire and Firework Display have been confirmed for Saturday 4th November.  More details will follow.

Tankersley Senior Citizens Group – invite new members.  Activities include a variety of social events and excursions.  Anyone interested should contact Brian Marsden on 01226 746306 or 07947430259

The Hub Tuck Shop will be open on 1300 and 1600 hours on weekends and at selected times during the school holidays – weather permitting.  Tea, coffee, soft drinks, ice creams and confectionary are all available whilst visiting Pilley Pocket Park.
